Demos:
We are always looking out for music that sets our pulses a-racing and listening to demos is an important part of that process. We do try to listen to everything that is sent to us. But before you put that package in the post, please read on :

1. We’re a very small label with a staff of only 3 - and much as we’d like to, we just don’t have time to respond to everyone who sends us their music. If you don’t hear from us, without fail it means that our interest wasn’t aroused by what you sent. We dont send ‘rejection’ letters out but we DO appreciate the efforts you will have gone to make your demo available to us, this goes without saying.

If our interest is piqued by what we hear, then we’ll mail you. But, so you are totally clear on this, we wont be able to take every phone call, or reply to every email or facebook/myspace message. Persistent hounding won’t work and wont be mistaken for determination.

2. What is infuriating is people who send us music without showing any understanding of our history and our musical interests. You’re reading this at bellaunion.com- so if you’re not familar with the label, please take the opportunity while you’re here to do some research on the kind of artists and projects that we’ve worked with in the past. And, to state the really obvious, we’re not even faintly interested in mainstream pop of any description.

3. If you do happen to send over an email to us to say how amazing your band is and how we should check them out please just include a link to myspace or yousendit or your website. Large MP3 files clog up our inboxes and make us cry digital tears. We prefer to smile.
